Define Primary Wave At Secondary Wave

Define Primary wave at secondary wave

Answer:

In seismology,

1. Primary Wave - The Primary Wave, or P wave, is the fastest seismic wave. They are usually the one that arrives first at a particular place/location after an earthquake occurs. Primary waves can pass through solids, liquids and gases.

2. Secondary wave - Secondary Waves, or S Waves are the ones that arrive after the primary wave. Although both Primary and Secondary waves start at the same time, Secondary Waves travel half the speed of Primary Waves. And unlike Primary Waves, Secondary Waves cannot travel through Liquids and Gases.
